My involvement in the world of coffee has a long tradition. From a classical grocery store to distribution business, coffee has been at the centre of family business over many good years. Against this background, continuing with exploring the world of coffee, was the only imaginable way forward.
In 2015 I became the only Portuguese to have completed the Master’s degree in Coffee Economics and Science at the University of Trieste, Italy. This training was unique, taught by the world’s best professionals at the field, and covered three key areas: economics, agronomy and technology. With respect to practical training, I have been participating in various SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) courses, which have taken me to gripping on-site trainings at coffee-farms, moving from Ethiopia, the origin country of coffee, to Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer.
As a result of this exciting journey, Luso Coffee Roasters was created, a Portuguese brand of specialty coffee roasting. In our daily work we only roast specialty coffees, and we do it especially for You, wishing to provide You with the flavours and characteristics of quality coffees. Our coffee is produced in many different countries which have a strong tradition in coffee growing, enabling us to offer coffees of different origins and roasting levels, so You can enjoy an espresso or other brewing methods.
